I got my new 19″ LCD today: Total shipping amount I was charged for- $50 ; Actual shipping cost as displayed on the “Standard Post Mail” USPS sticker on the box- $19…why am I not surprised? The least the bastard could have done was pay the extra $5 and ship it priority so I could have gotten it last week instead of having to wait 7 days. Uh oh, I feel a rant coming– oh wait, its over. Nevermind. At least the LCD is nice, it’s huge and to my surprise its in semi-widescreen format. I can think of 4:3 which is standard and 16:9 which is widescreen but something in between there is what my monitor falls into. The resolution I gotta set it to for optimal<\/em> display is 1280×1024 for those of the geeks out there who’s meaningless knowledge far-surpasses my own, someone let me know what the ratio\/viewing format for that resolution is.<\/p>\n So, now that I’m at it, I started my 3rd year of college at Baurch– I finally got all the paperwork right and got in for this Fall semester– it only took two, or three years. Not too bad. The main building or better known to students as the Vertical Campus has all the things you’d want in a college. Generally people would go into details and specifics about what they thought was so great about the college but in my case and state in which I’m neither half awake or asleep I will assume you know exactly<\/em> what I am talking about and move on. The people over there seem alright as well although I haven’t really broke ground just yet. There are a few people that I talk to and who talk to me during classes when things get a bit boring or just the usual in-class garbage people usually throw in your ear. You know the type of “friend” I’m talking about. The “friend” who you sit next to all semester long and talk to about whatever pops into your head during class but who’s name you never know. YaWhaMeen?! Give it another month or so and I’ll know half the school in one way or another.<\/p>\n Also while I’m writing this precise and focused entry into my heavily updated blog let me send a shout-out to Sonia for showing me around campus and letting me know which cafes and restuarants passed their inspections and which ones didn’t.
