Flu Shot: What they don't want you to know

I got a flu shot earlier this year when Austen was born for the first time ever. I was pretty happy with the results up until about a week or so ago when my throat started hurting. [Wait. The flu shot only fights against the flu…not the cold right? Although, the two do share some initial symptoms. Whatever, I’ll continue on as if I didn’t just remember that.] It’s been like that for a while now and it seems to be getting worse: throat/cough/a little bit of a leaky nose.

What the hell man! When I used to get sick, I’d get really sick for a day or two and be done with it. This time however it seems to be lingering on in a perpetual almost-there kind of state. To make matters worse, I screwed up last night by taking a couple Tylenol cold (night) pills at like 5am (when I went to sleep) and woke up at 6am thanks to my Stern-Alarm. I was completely out of it, groggy/cranky, and I couldn’t go back to sleep because I had to study for some psych. exam which I had completely forgot about. Bafangu, screw this…I’m taking Thursday off and sleeping in till Monday afternoon.
